Robert J. Bolden currently serves as the Plant Manager and Business Leader for Ingersoll Rand plc (IR) at the Vidalia, Georgia office, which manufactures 9 different Trane products with approximately 1,250 employees. As the Global Integrated Supply Chain Leader on the Product Growth Team, he is responsible for the development and implementation of the global growth strategy for Trane Residential Air Handlers, Evaporator Coils, and Package Units. Robert joined IR in December 2013, in the Residential HVAC & Supply business as the Operations Focus Factory Manager in Trenton, New Jersey. Prior to joining Ingersoll Rand, he served as a Plant Manager within the Automotive Interiors division at Johnson Controls International plc (JCI). During his tenure at JCI, Robert also held positions in quality, engineering, project management, and operations.
At Ingersoll Rand, Robert has served in various capacities throughout the climate segment for the Residential HVAC and Commercial strategic business units. With over 10 years of global supply chain expertise, Robert has a proven track record with long-range strategic planning, business development, P&L management, operational execution, and cultural transformation.
Robert received his bachelor’s degree in applied social science from Rider University. He is a graduate of the Executive Business Management Program at the University of Michigan, and holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Robert currently serves on the Board of Directors for The Female Collaborative.
